Guitar Lessons in London Ontario

Instruction by Suzanne Frank

Guitar Instructor, London Ontario. Suzanne Frank

I've been teaching guitar (and bass) professionally for many years and I'm also a composer and performer. I teach many different styles including blues, jazz and classical. I've had great success with students from beginner to advanced levels and have prepared candidates for acceptance to Humber College, York University, McGill University and Berklee College in Boston.  I've been in the same guitar teaching studio in Wortley Village for 18 years. It's a great spot right in the heart of Wortley Village and includes parking.

Many people are interested in learning how to play their favourite music by ear. This is what we do from the first guitar lesson onward. Some students come to learn to solo. Others come to learn a variety of styles so that they can play different types of music with facility. Reading music is optional but recommended as it's a great way to get new music and to read charts.

Students can bring steel-string, electric and/or classical guitars to lessons. I will teach them to check and properly set-up their guitar(s).  We will talk about the various ways to tune a guitar, then get started with music you have chosen on your iPod or CD or together we will select a chart or another piece (this might be your own composition) to get started on.

I teach all ages from about 11 upward. Parents, children and/or friends are welcome to sit and observe lessons.  Lessons are either a half-hour, 45 minutes or an hour long.
